Since its creation, the OCL has been a place to meet, a place to share and an ensemble of musicians trying to develop a common artistic project in the heart of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
Today, several essential directions make up the current and future projects of the ensemble.
The creative qualities of each musician, the expression of each personality, allows us to explore bold new paths for the upcoming artistic seasons, and to believe in providing a radiant musical display for the OCL’s demanding and knowledgeable national and international audience.
The OCL is a fantastic instrument for meetings, for research and partnerships.
Collaboration with young audiences: national education, relationships with conservatories and all music schools
Presence at the heart of many social structures (medical establishments…)
Partnered productions with all forms of scenic and artistic expressions: theatre, dance, and creative venues.
Flexibility in terms of the number of musicians available for each production, with an outstanding ability to adapt on the part of our members.
Productions and collaborations with artists from musically diverse backgrounds (traditional repertoires, jazz musicians, film musicians…)
Chamber music concerts, pocket operas, contemporary compositions
The richness of these artistic inputs nourishes the past, current and future repertoire of the OCL: baroque, classical, romantic and 20th century music.
The fundamental anchoring of the OCL resides at the heart of the cultural and artistic policies of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. These policies are the common thread of all of the ensemble’s activities and they are the motivating force behind each musician’s work.
We are particularly pleased with the hard work of the musicians, and of all of the blossoming national and international art forms, to which the OCL today can respond to with a deep conviction, high standards, and commitment.
