Cathédrale Notre-Dame du Luxembourg
La Maîtrise Ste-Cécile de la Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Luxembourg was founded in 1844, initially as a men’s choir. In 1965 it was transformed into a mixed choir, thus enabling the singers to enlarge their repertoire of sacred music. The choir is active in many areas: they have made various recordings, participated in the performance of major works with orchestra, and have given numerous concerts of spiritual music both in the Grand Duchy and abroad.
In addition to their liturgical performances, the Maîtrise adds sparkle to the festive nature of state, religious and cultural events held at Luxembourg Cathedral. Since September 2013, Marc Dostert has been directing the Cathedral choir.
